Jaelyn Williams, a sophomore at Eastlake High in California, won the Division 1 girls title at the CIF San Diego Section Championships by covering the 3-mile layout in 17:06.4 at Balboa Park's Morley Field. Williams, who was third at last year's final in 17:30.5, helped Eastlake place ninth with 227 points.
